Abstract

Tanulmányunkban azt vizsgáljuk, hogyan alakult a romániai felsőfokú végzettségi szint az EU‑27 átlagához képest, a romániai magyaroké az országos átlaghoz képest, mely etnikai kisebbségek teljesítettek átlagon felül, és melyek nem. Kutatásunk az Eurostat, a romániai rendszerváltás utáni népszámlálások és a Romániai Statisztikai Hivatal által szolgáltatott idősoros adatok másodelemzésén alapul. Azt találtuk, hogy a romániai magyar felfőfokú végzettek aránya csökkenő mértékben ugyan, de jelentősen elmarad az országos átlagtól, amely az egyik legalacsonyabb az EU-tagországok sorában. A németek, a tatárok és a románok felsőfokú végzettek tekintetében magasan az országos átlag felett teljesítenek, míg az ukránok, a szerbek és a romák az országos átlaghoz képest nagymértékben alulmaradnak. | We examine how it changed the proportion of people with a tertiary education in Romania compared to the EU-27 average; the rate of Hungarians with a tertiary education in Romania compared to the national average; and which national-ethnic minorities performed above average in terms of tertiary graduates and which did not. Our research is based on a secondary analysis of time-series data from Eurostat, the Romanian censuses and the Romanian Statistical Office. Although slightly increasing, the proportion of Hungarian graduates in Romania is significantly below the national average, one of the lowest in the EU. Germans, Tatar and Romanian perform well above the national average in terms of tertiary graduates, while Ukrainians, Serbs and Roma are the last ones in this respect.
