Abstract

Az 1960-as, 1970-es évek épített öröksége a kortárs szakmai és társadalmi diskurzusban egyaránt konfliktusokkal terhelt, különösen a történeti környezetben található modern beépítések esetén. A tanulmány a modern beépítések városépítéstörténeti kontextusának feltárására tesz kísérletet. A vizsgálat tárgyát az 1960-as, 1970-es évek városépítészeti diskurzusában a történeti városszövet megújítása során felmerülő dilemmák képzik. A tanulmány fókuszában az örökségértelmezés átalakulása áll: a hazai városépítészeti szaksajtóban megjelent publikációk alapján bemutatja, a korszak szerzői hogyan értelmezték a történeti örökséget. A kutatás során arra kerestük a választ, hogy a történeti örökségként értelmezett épületállomány milyen szempontok mentén bővült a vizsgált évtizedek alatt. A tanulmány rávilágít arra, hogy a történetinek tekintett örökség időtávlatának közelebb kerülésével, a városszövet történetiségének felértékelődésével, majd pedig a lokális szempontok beemelésével hogyan változott a városmegújítás fogalmi kerete és módszertana. Az 1960-as évek jelentős szanálással járó rekonstrukcióival szemben megfogalmazott kritikák, valamint a műemléki jelentőségű területeken szerzett tapasztalatok egyaránt formálták a védelem nélküli városrészek rehabilitációjának szemléletmódját és eszköztárát. Ugyanakkor a korszak jelentősebb konfliktusait elemezve a történeti városszövet új beépítéseinek modern városépítészeti megközelítéseivel szemben az 1970-es évektől megjelenő kritikák átalakuló szempontrendszere is kirajzolhatóvá vált. | The built heritage of the 1960s and 1970s is a highly contentious issue in contemporary professional and public discourse, especially in the case of modern buildings in historical context. This paper attempts to identify the urban planning history behind these developments. In relation to this, the dilemmas that arose in the urban planning discourse of the 1960s and 1970s regarding the renewal of the historic urban fabric will be examined. The focus of the study is on the transformation of heritage interpretations. Based on publications in the Hungarian urban planning press, the paper shows how the authors of the period defined historical heritage. In doing so, the research aims to answer how perception of the built heritage has evolved over the decades. The study will highlight how the definition and methodology of urban rehabilitation have changed as the time horizon of heritage has become more recent, the historicity of the urban fabric has been valorised, and local aspects have been included. The critiques of the urban reconstruction with drastic demolition in the 1960s, combined with the experience gained in monumental areas, contributed to the development of a new approach to the rehabilitation of non-protected urban areas. The paper also highlights the main conflicts over building in the historic urban fabric, highlighting the criticisms of modern approaches to urban planning in the 1970s.
