Abstract

Jelen tanulmány előzetes feltevése, hogy az erőszak kérdésköre a hazai politológiában alulkutatottnak számít. Az elemzés annak kíván utánajárni, hogy alátámasztható-e ez az előzetes feltevés, és ha igen, úgy milyen összetevői és következményei lehetnek ennek a helyzetnek. A tanulmány első része hét megfigyelési kategória alkalmazásával igyekszik felmérni a téma kutatottságát a magyar politikatudományban. A meghatározott indikátorok alapján mind a hét kategóriában határozott alulkutatottság mutatkozik, ezért a tanulmány második része a helyzet jelentőségét és a konzekvenciáit vizsgálja. A gondolatmenet itt egy hármas hiátust állapít meg. Azáltal ugyanis, hogy a hazai politológia kevés témába vágó vizsgálatot folytat, a magyar nyelvű tudományosságban az erőszak jelenségének megragadásakor háttérbe szorul a politikum szempontja, miközben a politika leírása és elemzése során nem jelenik meg az erőszak dimenziója, és elmarad a specifikusan „politikainak” tekinthető erőszak elméleti meghatározása. Mindeközben az erőszak problematikája – paradox módon – épp hiányának konstituáló erejével vesz részt egy implicit, de már-már konszenzuálisnak tűnő hazai politikaértelmezés kontúrjainak létrehozásában. I The preliminary assumption of this study is that the phenomenon of violence is under-researched in Hungarian political science. The analysis aims to investigate whether this preliminary assumption can be substantiated and, if so, what the components and consequences of this situation might be. The first part of the study attempts to assess the extent to which the issue has been researched in Hungarian political science by applying seven categories of observation. Since the specified indicators show that the issue is definitely under-researched in all seven categories, the second part of the study attempts to assess the significance of the situation and its consequences. The inquiry here identifies a threefold gap. When it comes to relevant Hungarian literature, the political aspect is pushed into the background when examining the phenomenon of violence, the aspect of violence is pushed into the background when describing politics, and no theoretical definition of violence that can be considered specifically „political” is provided, all due to the fact that domestic political science conducts few relevant studies. However, paradoxically, the problem of violence participates in the creation of the contours of an implicit but seemingly consensual interpretation of politics precisely through its constitutive absence.
