Abstract

The computer-appraisal of the data gained in dynamic radiographic examination provided us with a data-basis. At present the basis contains data for the whole Hungarian sound-system. We then processed this basis with our own program RÖNTG. The hardware and software available for us at the Phonetics Laboratory of the Institute of Linguistics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences were: a computer of type PDP 11/34 supplied with a central memory of 34K words, a double floppy disk unit, a console typewriter of type LA 36 and an FB monitor working in an RT 11 operating system. The information’s movement in the course of the processing is shown by Fig. 1.; the logical structure of the data by Fig. 2.; while Fig. 3. shows the file set-up of the index-structured data-basis.
