Abstract

A Termini Magyar Nyelvi Kutatóhálózat nyelvészei már több mint két évtizede dolgoznak a magyar nyelv határtalanításán. Tevékenységükkel azt szeretnék elérni, hogy ne csak a Magyarországon használt sztenderd magyar nyelvváltozatot tekintsék a magyar nyelv részének, hanem a hét határon túli régió magyarlakta vidékeinek nyelvváltozatait is. Ezt a magyar nyelv pluricentrikussága támasztja alá (Lanstyák 1998). A szóhatártalanítás egyik legnagyobb eredménye a Termini magyar–magyar szótár és adatbázis létrejötte, amely az erdélyi, felvidéki, horvátországi, kárpátaljai, muravidéki, őrvidéki és vajdasági magyarok államnyelvi kölcsönszavait, megőrzött archaizmusait, valamint népnyelvi és regionális lexikai elemeit összesíti. A szótár anyagának népszerűsítése céljából jött létre A hét szava elnevezésű disszeminációs projekt, amely a Termini-szótárban adatolt kölcsönszavakból mutat be egyet heti rendszerességgel a Facebookon, ezzel emberek tízezreit szólítja meg éves szinten, és hozzájárul a nyelvjárások elfogadottságának növeléséhez. | Linguists of the Termini Hungarian Language Research Network have been working on the lexical debordering of the Hungarian language for more than two decades. Their aim is to ensure that not only the standard variety as spoken in Hungary is regarded as part of the Hungarian language but also the language varieties of Hungarian-speaking communities in the seven cross-border regions. This endeavour is supported by the pluricentric nature of the Hungarian language (Lanstyák 1998). One of the most significant achievements of the lexical debordering work is the creation of the Termini Online Hungarian Dictionary and Database, which collects state-language loanwords, archaisms, dialectal expressions, and semantic loanwords used by Hungarian minorities in Transylvania, Southern Slovakia, Croatia, Transcarpathia, Prekmurje, Burgenland, and Vojvodina. To promote the dictionary’s content, a dissemination project called The Word of the Week was launched. Each week, it shares one of the loanwords from the Termini Dictionary on Facebook, reaching tens of thousands of people annually and contributing to the growing acceptance of dialectal varieties.
