Abstract
Cele mai importante tradiţii legendare ale Ţinutului Secuiesc au fost prezentate de mai mulţi autori. Totuşi, abundenţa elementelor de legende fragmentare sau mai coerente surprinde şi azi cercetătorul. Studiul prezintă 85 de texte folclorice prin care parcurge tradiţiile legendare ale populaţiei multiconfesionale din Valea Nirajului. Autorul s-a concentrat în primul rând asupra legendelor istorice, dar a publicat şi diferitele legende despre comori şi credinţele regiunii. | Th e major signifi cant legendary traditions of Székelyföld have been already presented by many authors. Nevertheless, the abundance of fragments or detailed legendary elements surprises the researcher even today. Th is paper presents 85 folk stories, through which it surveys the legendary traditions of the multi-denominational population of the Nyárád (Niraj) Valley. Th e author concentrated especially on historical legends but he also published diff erent treasure legends, myths and belief texts of the region.
