Abstract

A Magyar Regionális Tudományi Társaság Faluszemináriumi Kutatóműhelyének nyolc hazai mintahelye közül Egercsehi egy olyan sajátos fejlődési pályájú vidéki település, melynek a 20. század elejétől a szénbányászat vált a meghatározó gazdasági és társadalomszervező tényezőjévé. Miközben ennek köszönhetően a falu jelentős népességnövekedésen és infrastrukturális fejlődésen ment keresztül, a bányabezárás (1990) után ez a felfelé ívelő pálya megtört. Jelen tanulmány annak a 2024-es kutatásainkból készült kötetnek a bevezetője, melyben lefektetjük a kutatás alapvető céljait, elveit, módszereit. Mivel a Faluszeminárium lényege a monitoringvizsgálat, így itt kerül összegzésre mindaz, ami módszertani, kutatásszervezési szempontból összekapcsolta a 2016-os és a 2024-es esztendő vizsgálatait. A tanulmánykötet, benne ez a tanulmány is hozzájárul a periférikus, posztindusztriális falvak fejlődési pályáinak jobb megértéséhez, és alapot szolgáltathat a helyi fejlesztési stratégiák megalapozásához. | Among the eight domestic sample sites of the Village Seminar Research Project of the Hungarian Regional Science Association, Egercsehi is a rural settlement with a distinctive development trajectory, where coal mining became the dominant economic and social organizing force from the beginning of the 20th century. While this led to significant population growth and infrastructural development in the village, this upward trajectory was interrupted after the mine closure in 1990.This study serves as the introduction to a volume based on our 2024 research, in which we outline the fundamental objectives, principles, and methods of the research. Since the essence of the Rural Seminar lies in monitoring studies, this section summarizes the methodological and research-organizational aspects that connect the investigations conducted in 2016 and 2024.The volume of studies, including this paper, contributes to a better understanding of the development paths of peripheral, post-industrial rural settlements and may provide a foundation for the formulation of local development strategies.
