Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to attempt to chronologically outline the institutionalization of Hungarian youth organizations in Romania following the Romanian revolution of 1989 and divide them into discrete segments.1 This study examines the phenomenon of potential fault lines within the political and youth elite. While examining these fault lines it is crucial to note that political differences of opinion within Hungarian youth organizations do not reflect divisions within the entire Hungarian youth community; these conflicts primarily concern the inner circles of youth elites.
