Abstract
The spread of electric cars means the ever-wider spread of batteries. The use of lithium-ion batteries carries many dangers. The biggest danger is the possible explosion of the battery. Firefighting is not easy due to the properties of lithium. In recent years, there have been many fires caused by lithium-ion batteries. Firefight ers use different methods, but their development is of utmost importance to ensure the safe use of electric vehicles. In this study, the authors try to draw attention to the dangers and present practical firefighting options.
