Abstract

The collection of the Entomologisches Forschungsmuseum Eyjolf Aistleitner (EFMEA) contains lots of faunistic data on antlions, which have been collected over 40 years. 603 specimens of 100 species from Africa and Asia can be found in the collection. From a faunistic point of view, the most interesting species are: Palpares gratiosus Navás, 1929, Palparellus damarensis (McLachlan, 1868), Pseudopalpares parvopunctatus Ábrahám, 2023, Stenares hyaena (Dalman, 1823), Hagenomyia lethifera (Walker, 1853), Banyutus pulverulentus (Rambur, 1842), Creoleon griseus (Klug in Ehrenberg, 1834), Distoleon asiricus Hölzel, 1983. Each of them is illustrated with a habitus photo. Palpares elegantulus Péringuey, 1910, Myrmeleon doralice Banks, 1911, and Neuroleon chloranthe (Banks, 1911) are new records for the fauna of Angola, and Hagenomyia lethifera (Walker, 1853) for Ethiopia
