Abstract
The taxonomic status of the species, Palpares campanai Navás, 1915 was uncertain in the literature. Based on a recently collected male specimen in Angola, the morphological features were studied. The species moved to a new combination as Pseudopalpares campanai (Navás, 1915) (comb. n.), and the lectotype specimen is designated (present designation). The authors have checked the type specimen and provided a redescription. Furthermore, the characteristic features are illustrated with colour photographs, and a distribution map is also given.
