Abstract
A tanulmány hét paradoxon (P) feltárásán keresztül elemzi a Magyar Tudományos Művek Tárát (MTMT), amely a nemzeti tudományos bibliográfia és Kutatói Információs Rendszer (CRIS) szerepét is betölti. A paradoxonok bemutatják a rendszer kettős természetét: a kis nemzetállami tudomány kényszerpályáját és a különböző tudományterületekre alkalmazott uniformizált metrikák okozta feszültséget (P1, P2), a mérési paradoxon (Goodhart-törvény) hatását (P3) és az adminisztratív teher aránytalanságát (P4). A vizsgálat kitér a kulturális-technikai-szervezeti örökségből adódó átláthatatlanságra (P5), az adattulajdonlás feszültségére (P6) és a tájékoztatási potenciál kihasználatlanságára (P7). A konklúzió szerint a rendszer integritásának fenntartásához elengedhetetlen a metrikai rugalmasság és a CRIS-funkciók fejlesztése. | Through the exploration of seven paradoxes (P), the study analyses the Hungarian Science Bibliography (MTMT), which also serves as the national scientific bibliography and Current Research Information System (CRIS). The paradoxes highlight the dual nature of the system: the constraints faced by the scientific community of a small nation-state and the tension caused by uniform metrics applied across diverse academic fields (P1, P2), the effect of the measurement paradox (Goodhart’s law) (P3), and the disproportionate administrative burden (P4). The study also addresses the opacity resulting from cultural, technical, and organizational legacies (P5), the tensions over data ownership (P6), and the underutilization of the system’s information potential (P7). The conclusion is that metric flexibility and the further development of CRIS functions are essential for maintaining the integrity of the system
