Abstract

A második Trump-elnökség külpolitikáját a Pax Americana végével, vagyis egy posztamerikai, poszthegemonikus és egyben multipoláris világ képével szokás társítani, jóllehet mindegyik jelző vitatható. A Washington által keltett turbulencia megértése végett a cikk külön vizsgálja az Amerikai Egyesült Államok és a nemzetközi rend kapcsolatának a főbbalkotóelemeit: az USA külpolitikai aktivitását és hatalmi státuszát, valamint az amerikai értelmezésű világrendet. Egyfelől az elméleti szakirodalom ismertetésén keresztül bemutatja e faktoroknak a jelenlegi nemzetközi rend kontextusában játszott szerepét, másfelől áttekinti, hogy azok mikéntjelennek meg a második Trump-elnökség külpolitikájában. Washington kifejezetten aktív külpolitikája a kemény hatalmi eszközökkel érvényesíti azamerikai elsőséget, ami egyelőre a hegemón szerepe csökkenését és egy újvilágrend tervének a hiányát jelenti. | The foreign policy of the second Trump administration is often associated with the end of Pax Americana, that is, with the image of a postAmerican, post-hegemonic, and multipolar world, although each of these descriptors is debatable. To understand the turbulence created by Washington, the article examines the main components of the relationship between the United States and the international order: American foreign policy activity and power status, as well as the American interpretation of the world order. On the one hand, it presents the role of these factors in the context of the current international order through theoretical literature, and on the other hand, it reviews how they appear in the foreign policy of the second Trump administration. Washington’s highly active foreign policy asserts American preeminence through hard power, which means an incomplete hegemonic role and the absence of a plan for a new world order, for now.
