Abstract

Tanulmányunk két, egymással szoros kapcsolatban levő téma köré épül: egyrészt egy új fogalom bevezetését javasolja az állampolgári nevelés helyett a hazai szóhasználatban, amely szándéka szerint kiszabadítja a fogalmat a szűk értelemben vett állami, politikai értelmezési keretből, és ezzel tágítja is azt. A felelős polgárság és a felelős polgárrá nevelés fogalompár többet jelent, mint az aktív, demokratikus értékrendet valló polgár, hiszen előbbi kiegészül a felelős felnőttlét gazdasági és digitális tudatossági dimenzióival is. A tanulmány második felében a digitális tudatosság fejlesztésének szükségességét alátámasztó kutatási eredmények bemutatásával kívánjuk hangsúlyozni, hogy a 21. századi modern iskolának reflektálnia kell a digitalizáció kihívásaira, hogy a felnövekvő generációk megfelelő tudással rendelkezzenek a felnőtt polgári élethez. | The present study is structured around two closely related themes. Firstly, it proposes the introduction of a new term in Hungarian discourse. The aim of this is to free the concept of Hungarian citizenship education from its current state-centric and mainly political interpretation, thereby broadening its scope. The pair of concepts – responsible citizenship and education for responsible citizenship – signifies more than simply a citizen who embraces active, democratic values; this trait is complemented by the economic and digital awareness dimensions of responsible adulthood. In the latter half of the study, the presentation of research findings supporting the necessity to develop digital awareness is intended to emphasise that the modern schools of the 21st century must respond to the challenges of digitalisation so that future generations will possess the necessary knowledge for adult civic life.
