Abstract

A mai Spanyolország területén egyre nagyobb számban előkerülő Flavius-kori municipális törvényeknek egy közös minta, az ún. lex Flavia municipalis szolgált alapul. A téma kutatói több mint száz éve magától értetődő axiómának tekintették, hogy ez az alaptörvény Domitianus hiányzó Germanicus győzelmi jelzője alapján keltezhető. A lex Irnitana felfedezését követően ezt az érvet többen kétségbe vonták, akik pedig kitartottak a régi keltezés mellett, nem cáfolják, sőt nem is említik az ellenérveket, ezenfelül a Germanicus jelző felvételének datálásában mutatkozó eltérések sem mindig tükröződnek a szűkebb szakirodalomban. Jelen dolgozat célja a hagyományos keltezés szilárd alapokra helyezése a Germanicus jelző felvételének, illetve Domitianus titulatúrájában való megjelenésének vizsgálatával és az ellenérvek alapos elemzésével. | The fragmentary bronzes of municipal laws from the Flavian age – appearing in Spain increasingly – are based on the so-called lex Flavia municipalis as a common model. The missing Germanicus title of Domitian has been regarded by the scholars for more than a secle as an axiomatically dating fact for this model law. The discovery of the lex Irnitana has brought this argument into challenge: those still adhering to the former dating neither disaffirm this statement nor mention the counter-arguments; furthermore, the changes in the dating of the Germanicus title are not always reflected in the closer literature either. The aim of this essay is to ensure a solid base for the academic dating, on the one hand, by examining the circumstances for the assuming of the Germanicus title and of its appearing in Domitian’s titulature, on the other hand, and by an accurate analysis of the counter-statements.
