Abstract
It is almost ten years over, since the nation-wide (in some years even international) series of climate conferences and knowledge transfer network started, and already five years run away from its end, too. From the beginnings, the Climate Club cooperated with the best representatives of natural and social sciences involved in the climate issue. This connection ensured the high scientific level and also interested participation of the for-profit sphere in the Summits. Besides the climate change, these events comprehended further aspects of sustainability, such as energy, transportation, agriculture and water management, and it also discussed the role of politics, sciences and civic society in sustainable formulation of our future. Between the Summits, the Climate Club cooperated with 11,000 registered members and involved them into its actions. From among these activities, the several round of internet-based knowledge transfer, the ca. 50 personal meetings, tailored for selected age-groups, and the purchase and plantation of exactly 11,000 tree saplings are most worth exaltation. This paper is compiled to set a memory to the conferences and to the network – for the first time in written form.
