Abstract
Using the theorem of Carnot we give elementary proofs of two state- ments of C. Bradley. We prove his conjecture concerning the tangents to an arbitrary conic from the vertices of a triangle. We give a synthetic proof of his theorem concerning the "Cevian conic", and we also give a projective generalization of this result.
