Abstract
The paper investigates Bálint Sárközi’s Oratio de modo considerationis primi principii ex natura et dispositione universi (Wittenberg, Crato, 1588), the published version of his talk performed within the circle of Hungarian students at the University of Wittenberg in 1588. The study provides it readers with insights to Bruno’s immediate reception during his Wittenberg period by analysing Sárközi’s attempt to involve Bruno’s philosophy into Ficino’s five-level metaphysics.
