Abstract
BUDAPEST UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS, BUDAPEST, HUNGARY; ARCHITECTS: PÉTER GEREBEN and BALÁZS MARIÁN A well-functioning library wing defines the spaces around its core without need for overelaboration, visual games or recently seen architectural over exaggeration of forms. The building itself, with its rationality, fine details and reliable dimensions, is what every real public building would like to be: natural and self-explanatory. These clear things seem to need no words. Overall, the house is like a Swiss watch: it runs quietly, perfectly and accurately, reliably showing the local time.
