Abstract
In this paper, the design and development of a low-cost single-axis solar tracking charge controller will be presented, aimed at maximizing the efficiency of photovoltaic systems, with the current boundary conditions. The design emphasizes affordability, using readily available and cost-effective components without significantly compromising performance. A microcontroller-based control system is employed to drive the tracking mechanism, ensuring precise and responsive adjustments. Key components of the system, including the design considerations, control algorithms, and hardware implementation, are discussed in detail. Further goal of the study is to show a well usable demonstration device for engineering educational purposes.
