Abstract

A borértékelések gazdasági szerepe vitathatatlan, hiszen egy-egy bor jó eredménye az értékesítésen isérezhető. A borbírálat jelentős fejlődésen ment keresztül az elmúlt száz évben, a zsűrizést azonban számos kritika éri. A tanulmány célja annak vizsgálata, hogy a zsűritagok által adott pontszámok mennyiretekinthetők következetesnek, megbízhatónak, illetve miként lehetne javítani az értékelésen. Az elemzéssorán a Winelovers Wine Awards nemzetközi borverseny 2022-es és 2023-as bírálati pontszámait dolgoztuk fel. 2022-ben 23 bizottságban 58 zsűritag összesen 623 bort, 2023-ban 23 bizottságban 65 zsűritag 839 bort értékelt, bizottságonként 5-6 taggal. Az adatok vizsgálata az SPSS programcsomag segítségével történt, a leíró statisztikai mutatók széles skálája mellett a változók közötti kapcsolatok elemzésére korrelációanalízist, illetve varianciaanalízist alkalmaztunk. Az eredmények alapján a zsűritagokértékelése meglehetősen konzisztensnek tekinthető, és kijelenthető, hogy sem a napszak, sem a bírákszakterülete vagy nemzetisége, továbbá a borkategória sem befolyásolta érdemben az eredményeket,ezek a hazai borszakma (termelők, kereskedők, fogyasztók, versenyszervezők) számára tehát fontosmegerősítést jelentenek. | The economic role of wine evaluations is indisputable, as the good results of a wine can also be felt in sales. The purpose of the study is to examine how consistent and reliable the scores given by the jury members are, and how the evaluation could be improved. During the analysis, the 2022 and 2023 wine judging scores of the Winelovers Wine Awards international wine competition were processed. In 2022, 58 jury members in 23 committees evaluated a total of 623 wines, in 2023, 65 jury members in 23 committees evaluated 839 wines, with 5-6 members per committee. The data was analyzed using the SPSS program package, and in addition to a wide range of descriptive statistical indicators, correlation analysis and variance analysis were used to analyze the relationships between the variables. Based on the results, the evaluation of the jury members can be considered fairly consistent, and neither the time of day, nor the judges' special expertise or nationality, nor the wine category significantly influenced the results. They are therefore an important confirmation for the domestic wine industry (producers, traders, consumers, competition organizers).
