Abstract
ARCHITECT: GÁBOR ZOBOKI The new Richter Gedeon headquarters in Kőbánya, Budapest, designed by Zoboki Design & Architecture, forms a pivotal part of a larger, thoughtfully master-planned campus that balances industrial rationality with innovative design. At the heart of the building's concept is a dynamic, central atrium, conceived as an intimate "cave," which dictates the building's spatial organization, massing, and the expressive, wavelike vertical louvres of its facade. This multi-story atrium, featuring sculptural wooden staircases, serves as a primary circulation and interaction hub, connecting various functional zones including open-plan offices, meeting areas, a restaurant, and conference facilities, while promoting employee collaboration.
