Abstract
The care of patients suffering from scoliosis and the effort to alleviate human suffering caused by deformity goes back more than two thousand years. The aim of this study is to provide a historical overview of the treatment of scoliosis from the 5th century BC to the present day, briefly outlining today's current questions and research opportunities.
