Abstract
Stability of linear time periodic delay-differential equations is investigated. An analytical approximation, the so-called Fargue-type method, and a numerical approximation, the so-called semi-discretization method are compared for the damped and delayed Mathieu equation. It is shown that the convergence of the semi-discretization is better than that of the Fargue-type method.
