Abstract
The paper provides a new analytical method for determining the eigenfrequencies of composite beams with interlayer slip provided that the beam is subjected to an axial load. Application of the d'Alembert principle yields the equations of motion. The axial and rotary inertia are taken into account. This formulation leads to a general eigenvalue problem the solution of which is illustrated by a numerical example.
