Abstract
This study provides a brief overview of the history and activities of the Archives for 20th – and 21st-Century Hungarian Music in Budapest, established by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2012. The Archives house more than fifty collections from composers, performers, musicologists, and musical institutions. In addition to preserving, digitising, and providing access to this valuable segment of Hungarian cultural heritage, the Archives also support scholarly research. Its staff actively engage with the collections for their investigations, contributing to the field through significant publication efforts in Hungarian, English, and German.
