Abstract
An egg sac of the non-native spider Gasteracantha cancriformis (Linnaeus, 1758) (Araneidae) found on the leaf of an imported shrub Heptapleurum arboricola Hayata (Araliaceae) from Costa Rica is described and illustrated following its interception in the United Kingdom.
