Abstract

Az Első Dunagőzhajózási Társaság (a továbbiakban: DGT) által a Mohács-Pécsi Vasút (a továbbiakban: MPV) mellékvágányaiként, a történelmi Magyarország első iparvasút-hálózataként megépült Pécsi Bányavasutak 1854–1944 közötti gazdasági szerepének bemutatása. A szakirodalmakban és a dokumentumfilmek többségében a vonalak szinte csak említésként jelennek meg, holott azok nélkülözhetetlen szerepet töltöttek be a pécsi bányavidék működtetésében a szénszállítmányok célba juttatásával. | Presentation of the economic role of the Pécs Mining Railways between 1854 and 1944, which were built by the First Danube Steam Shipping Company (hereinafter: DGT) as the sidings of the Mohács-Pécs Railway (hereinafter: MPV), as the first industrial railway network in historical Hungary. In the literature and in the majority of documentaries, the lines appear almost only as a mention, although they played an indispensable role in the operation of the Pécs mining region by delivering coal shipments.
