Abstract
The review engages with Kornélia Góli’s book Let There Be Theatre! (Színház legyen!), published on the fiftieth anniversary of the Novi Sad Theatre (Újvidéki Színház). Departing from conventional historiography, the book adopts an oral history approach, based on a series of in-depth interviews. Through this methodology, the author constructs a polyphonic account of institutional memory. Moreover, the work addresses broader issues concerning minority theatre in Vojvodina, the practice of historiography, and questions of cultural identity.
