Abstract

A tanulmány a gyerek- és felnőttkori egészségi állapot és a felnőttkori humán tőke összefüggéseit mutatja be. A cikk első felében szakirodalmi források alapján vázoljuk ezt a komplex és sokrétű kapcsolatrendszert a komplex rendszerek elemzésében használt kvalitatív eszköz, az oksági hurokdiagram (Causal Loop Diagram, CLD) segítségével. A cikk második felében az elérhető empirikus adatok és korábbi szakirodalmi eredmények alapján mutatjuk be a gyerekkori egészség egyes jellemzőinek alakulását Magyarországon. Az elmúlt húsz évben több területen tapasztalható javulás a gyerekek egészségében és az azt befolyásoló tényezőkben, ugyanakkor számos súlyos probléma is jelen van – részben régóta elhanyagolt, részben újonnan felbukkanó okok miatt. Előbbire példa a gyerekszegénység és a reprodukciós egészség területe, utóbbira a gyerekek mentális egészsége. A tanulmányt szakpolitikai ajánlásokkal zárjuk. | The paper presents the relationships between child and adult health and adult human capital. In the first part of the article, we outline this complex and multifaceted system, based on international literature, using the Causal Loop Diagram (CLD), a qualitative tool used in the analysis of complex systems. In the second part, we present the state and trends of certain characteristics of childhood health in Hungary in a descriptive analysis based on available empirical data and previous literature results. In the past twenty years, improvements have been observed in several areas in children’s health and the factors influencing it. At the same time, however, serious problems are also present, partly due to long-neglected and partly due to newly emerging reasons; examples of the former are the areas of child poverty and reproductive health, and the latter the mental health of children. The article concludes with policy recommendations.
