Abstract
Tanulmányunk bemutatja a magyar katolikus ellenállás történetét a második világháború alatt. Hogy jobban érthetővé váljon a magyar római katolikusok szerepe a németellenes ellenállásban, előbb bemutatjuk a magyar katolicizmus történetének főbb aspektusait a két világháború közötti időszakból, valamint ideológiai kötődéseit, majd a második világháború alatti náciellenes tevékenységét. Jelen írás tehát a katolikus ellenállás történetének átfogó elemzése. I Our study presents the history of the Hungarian Catholic resistance during the Second World War. In order to better understand the role of Hungarian Roman Catholics in the anti-German resistance movement, we present the main aspects of the history of Hungarian Catholicism in the period between the two World Wars, its ideological affiliations, and its anti-Nazi activities during World War II. Our study provides a comprehensive analysis of the history of Catholic resistance.
