Abstract

A serdülőkor a kognitív funkciók fejlődésének kiemelten fontos időszaka. Ebben az időszakban az agyi struktúrák közötti kapcsolatok jelentős változásokon mennek keresztül, mely folyamatokra az életko ron és tapasztalaton túl a hormonális változásokkal összefüggő pubertáskori érettség szintje is jelentős hatást gyakorol. Cikkünk a magas szintű kognitív és végrehajtó funkciók fejlődésére összpontosít, be mutatva az eltérő érési tempó kognitív következményeit, valamint a korai érés lehetséges negatív hatá sait. A serdülőkori kognitív fejlődés mélyebb megértése támogathatja a kognitív és végrehajtó funkciók célzott fejlesztését, valamint nagy jelentősége van az oktatás, a pedagógia és a mentális egészség terü letén. | Adolescence is a critical period for the development of cognitive functions. During this time, significant changes occur in the neural connections between different areas of the brain. Beyond age and experience, the level of pubertal maturation – which is closely tied to hormonal changes – substantially influences these processes. This article focuses on the development of cognitive and executive functions, presenting the cognitive consequences of different maturational tempos and highlighting the potential negative impacts of early maturation. A deeper understanding of the complexity of adolescent cognitive development could inform targeted interventions to enhance executive functions, emphasizing their importance in educational, pedagogical, and mental health applications.
