Abstract

A szuburbanizáció hatásait számtalan aspektusból vizsgálhatjuk, viszont az azt elindító egyéni döntések, az ingatlanpiaci szempontok vagy a területhasznosítás átformálódása mellett szakmai körökben ritkábban kerülnek előtérbe a folyamat helyi közösségekre gyakorolt hatásai, illetve az arra adott reakciók. Munkám során a szlovák főváros, Pozsony agglomerációjában kutattam a szuburbanizációról alkotott egyéni és kollektív véleményeket, valamint a „fogadó közösség” tagjaiban felmerülő kérdéseket és a potenciális konfliktushelyzeteket. A vizsgált terület karakterének markáns eleme, hogy a migráció egyúttal a nyelvi közeg változását jelenti, mivel a kiköltözők dominánsan szlovák ajkú városból gyakran közel homogén magyar közegbe érkeznek; ez további komponensekkel egészíti ki a szuburbanizációt, illetve az általa generált válaszokat. A tapasztalatok azt mutatják, hogy a folyamat által érintett települések önálló, de bizonyos elemekben egymáshoz hasonló stratégiákat alkalmaznak annak kontrollálására, ezek részeként pedig – egyes témák kapcsán – az etnikai faktor is hangsúlyosan megjelenik. | The effects of suburbanization can be examined from countless aspects, but in addition to the individual decisions that started it, the real estate market aspects or the transformation of land use, the effects of the process on local communities and the reactions to it are rarely highlighted in professional circles. In the course of my work in the agglomeration of Bratislava, the Slovak capital, I researched individual and collective opinions on suburbanization, as well as the questions and potential conflict situations arising among the members of the "host community". A striking element of the character of the examined area is that migration also means a change in the linguistic environment, as those who move out of a predominantly Slovakspeaking city often arrive in an almost homogeneous Hungarian environment; this adds additional components to suburbanization and the responses it generates. Experiences show that the settlements affected by the process use independent, but in certain elements, similar strategies to control it, and as part of these – in connection with some topics – the ethnic factor also appears prominently.
