Abstract

A turizmust a világ egyik legnagyobb és leggyorsabban növekvő gazdasági ágazatai között tartjuk számon, amely szektor jövedelmet termel, munkahelyeket teremt, közvetlenül és közvetve is hozzájárul egy-egy ország GDP-jéhez. A turizmusnak nemzetgazdasági szempontból meghatározó szerepén túl ugyanakkor számos a környezetre gyakorolt negatív hatása is van. A negatív környezeti hatások csökkentése érdekében napjainkban egyre fontosabbá válik a fenntartható turizmus szemléletének érvényesítése. Az írás a turizmus gazdasági tevékenységként való értelmezését alapul véve veszi számba a szektor mikroökonómiai kapcsolódásait, majd értelmezi a fenntartható turizmus fogalmát és viszonyát a vidékfejlesztéshez. Az ezt követő elemzés pedig a turisztikai externáliák és a fenntartható turizmus néhány összefüggésére kíván rávilágítani az észak-alföldi és dél-alföldi régiókban. | Tourism is considered one of the largest and fastest growing economic sectors in the world, which generates income, creates jobs, and contributes directly and indirectly to a country's GDP. In addition to its decisive role in the national economy, tourism also has many negative impacts on the environment. In order to reduce negative environmental impacts, the implementation of the sustainable tourism approach is becoming increasingly important today. Based on the interpretation of tourism as an economic activity, the paper considers the microeconomic connections of the sector, then interprets the concept of sustainable tourism and its relationship to rural development. After that, the paper examines the correlation between tourism externalities and sustainable tourism in the North Great Plain and South Great Plain regions.
