Abstract
The 14th-century Pauline monastery in Gombasek, Slovakia, is preserved as an atmospheric ruin shaped by archaeology and community use. Recent excavations uncovered painted fragments and foundations, while Krisztián Szabó’s design adds a wooden bell tower and translucent steel-mesh chapel outline without full reconstruction.
