Abstract

Rotala rotundifolia, Cabomba caroliniana) dominanciáját (D) a melegebb felső szakaszon. A középső szakasztól a Vallisneria australis vált meghatározóvá, gyakran 100%-os borítással. A statisztikai elemzések minden évszakban szignifikáns neofiton-dominanciát mutattak. A kutatás felveti a „gáthipotézis” lehetőségét, miszerint a V. australis nagy biomasszája akadályozhatja más trópusi propagulumok Balaton felé történő terjedését. | The study examined the macrophyte vegetation and the distribution of invasive species at the outflow of Lake Hévíz (Hungary, Zala county) in 2025. During the survey, conducted at 14 sampling transects across four seasons, we identified 17 taxa. Analysed with the Wilcoxon-test, the results confirmed the dominance (D) of non-native species (e.g., Rotala rotundifolia, Cabomba caroliniana) in the warmer, upper section. Beginning at the middle section, Vallisneria australis became dominant, often with 100% coverage. Statistical analyses showed significant neophyte dominance in every season. The research raises the possibility of the “barrier hypothesis”, according to which the large biomass of V. australis may hinder the speading of other tropical propagules towards Lake Balaton.
