Abstract
Small plastic gears can be found in almost every sector of industry. These are gears with a module of not largerthan 0.5 mm and made from some form of polymer. In my previous research, I studied small plastic gears as the subject of my PhD thesis. In that research, I established that the faults on small plastic gears can be detected by examining the recirculation torque. To this end, I used SLA 3D printing to produce gears with both faultless and faulty teeth. In my PhD thesis, I examined the 0.5 mm module, as injection-molded gears of this size were available to me for comparison. In this article, I examined the accuracy of SLA 3D printed gears with a 0.3 mm module.
