Abstract

Új utak a szocialista korszak kutatásában. Szerk. 2007-ben részt vettünk egy a kifejezetten a nemzetközi összehasonlítást ösztönző konferenciasorozaton (Authority and Expectations: A Social History of the Socialist Dictatorships in Central Europe), ahol nem csupán eredményeinket ismertettük, de körvonalazódni látszott a nemzetközi összehasonlító kutatások folytatásának lehetősége is. A kutatás során sikerült több doktoranduszt is bevonni a kutatásba: ennek eredményeit a tanulmánykötetben közzétettük. | The main object of the research project was to collect and to analyse the documents concerning the everyday life and lifestyle of different social groups during the communist period in Hungary, and to investigate the patterns of new social identity formation. We published several articles in Hungarian and international journals, chapters in books, and we gave papers more than 30 times on the topics of our research project at international and Hungarian workshops and conferences. The list of publication of the research project contains 91 titles, including the papers given at conferences. The summary of our project was published in 2008 as a book: Mindennapok Rákosi és Kádár korában. Új utak a szocialista korszak kutatásában. [Everyday life during the Rákosi- and Kádár-Era] Ed. Sándor Horváth. Budapest, 2008. We finished two monographs concerning the results of the project (authors: Sándor Horváth, György Majtényi) which are in press and will be published in 2009. We had the opportunity of making transnational comparisons due to the workshop ?Authority and Expectations: A Social History of the Socialist Dictatorships in Central Europe? (Bratislava, Praha, Budapest) in 2007. We conducted about 50 oral history interviews, which were used at the PhD-programme ?Social History? of the ELTE University in Budapest.
