Abstract

A projekt az Osztrák-Magyar Monarchia német nyelvű irodalmában és publicisztikájában megjelenő térképzeteket vizsgálta a narratológia, a kulturális geográfia, az antropológia és a migrációszociológia módszertanának ötvözésével. A projekt új szövegforrások feltárásával, magyar nyelvű megjelentetésével, egy nemzetközi konferenciával, az eredmények kötetekben való megjelentetésével az Osztrák-Magyar Monarchia belső tagolódását helyezte új megvilágításba, az útleírások tudományos, kulturális és politikai diskurzusokat összefogó műfaja lehetőséget adott a térábrázolás, térhasználat formáinak, történeti változásainak beható tanulmányozására. A kutatások során összeállított kurzustematikák, a forráskiadvány és a konferenciakötetek beépülnek a germanisztikai (kultúra- és irodalomtudományos, komparatisztikai) BA-, MA-, PhD-képzésbe, és új interdiszciplináris MA-képzésbe integrálódnak: lehetővé teszik az elmélyült és problémaorientált reflexiót az új típusú képzésben, hozzájárulnak az oktatás empirikus bázisának kibővítéséhez. A nemzetközi konferencia a korábbi projektekben megteremtett közép-kelet-európai kapcsolatokat bővítette, a két konferenciakötet magyar és német nyelven is hozzáférhetővé teszi a nemzetközi tudományos eredményeket. A projekt lehetővé tette tudományos pályájukat kezdő kutatók részvételét is a nemzetközi tudományos életben, és biztosította a magyar germanisztikai kutatások korszerű önreflexióját és interdiszciplináris kibővítését. | The project aimed at the inquiry of spatial images in the German language literature and journalism of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy through the combination of methodological tools of narratology, cultural geography, anthropology and migration sociology. It explored the interaction and concurrence of the regional centres, the unifying and diversifying role of the German language, the formations of the intern exotism, as well as the cultural and political aspects of cultural tourism and internal emigration, it revisited the internal stratification of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy by exploring, translating, and publishing new text sources in a Reader, it discussed their interdisciplinary interpretation in the course of an international conference investigating the liminal techniques and horizontal production of hierarchies through the genre of the special forms of the travelogue. The results of the research project (the collected sources, the reader and the two volumes containing the conference proceedings) are/ can be used in higher education teaching at BA-, MA- and PhD-level; they will also contribute to the elaboration of new interdisciplinary MA-courses, to the accessibility of written sources of the culture of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy, to a broad international discussion of the results, and to the methodological reflection of literary and cultural theoretical research in the field of German philology in Hungary.
