Abstract
A faunistical research survey was made on heteropterous fauna in a sandy area in southwestern part of Hungary near Lake Balaton. 225 species were found altogether, of which eleven species are rare. The rarest species are Galeatus maculatus and Psallus ambigaus. Results of zoogeographical analysis show that both the Mediterranean and nordic species are underrepresented and Palaearctic species were found more than an average in Hungary. A lot of sand-liking species were found but similar to other sandy habitats in the county, many of thesekind of species living in the Great Hungarian Plain were missing
