Abstract

A kutatás során 7 országos, 28 fővárosi, megyei, városi, 18 egyházi (10 katolikus, 5 református, 2 evangélikus, 1 zsidó) és 11 világi intézményi levéltárban, magánszemélyek gyűjteményeiben folytattunk anyaggyűjtést. Több száz újabb interjú készült egykori tanítóképzősökkel. Alapos feltáró munkát végeztünk a téma szempontjából releváns periodikák és szakirodalom körében. Felhasználásukkal 22 publikáció készült: 6 könyv, 7 könyvfejezet, 6 folyóiratban megjelent tanulmány és konferenciakötetekben megjelent írások formájában, melyek az oktatáspolitika s a tanítóképzés politikai és társadalomtörténetének különböző aspektusairól, történéseiről, személyiségeiről referálnak. Képet adnak az 1868-1959 között többször "színét" váltó állam mindenkori elvárásairól, az érvényesítésük érdekében alkalmazott eszközökről, ezek effektivitásáról vagy diszfunkcionalitásáról; adalékokkal szolgálva az elbeszélés révén feltáruló társadalmi mechanizmusok, az általuk használt nyelvi eszközök jobb megértéséhez is. Ezen publikációk új szempontokkal, módszerekkel, értelmezési keretekkel, az elterjedt fogalomhasználattal kapcsolatos érdemi észrevételekkel járulnak hozzá a hazai művelődés- és iskolatörténet folyamatainak megismeréséhez pl. a nemzetiségi politika, az ideológiai-politikai elvárások, a népiskolai történelemoktatás, a gyermektanulmányi mozgalom, az egyházi tanárok sorsa a Tanácsköztársaság alatt s az iskolaállamosítások után témáiban. | We searched for data in 7 national, 28 capital, regional and municipal, 18 church (10 Roman Catholic, 5 reformed, 2 evangelical and 1 Jewish), and 11 secular institutional archives and private collections. Hundreds of interviews were made with former students of teacher's training institutions. Detailed analysis was made by using different periodicals and literature. 22 publications were made: 6 books, 7 chapters and 6 studies of different periodicals and conference publications. These all give references to the aspects, history and outstanding persons of the educational strategy and the political and social science history of teachers' training. They give clear pictures of the current demands of the government in power that 'changed its colour' many times between 1868-1959, and also of the effective or dysfunctional tools that were used in order to put the policy forward. They offer extra data to the understanding of those social mechanisms and linguistic tools that come to light via narration. The comments concerning the new aspects, methods, interpretation frames and general terminology contribute to the recognition of the progress of the national cultural history and history of education in the fields of nationality policy, ideological-political requirements, teaching of history in elementary schools, movement of children's education, and the lives of church teachers in the Hungarian Soviet Republic and after the nationalization of schools.
