Abstract

A globalizáció és digitalizáció hatására egyre több jogtudományi kutatóhely és egyetem kapcsolódik be a nemzetközi tudományos diskurzusba. A tudományos kutatás nemzetköziesedése fontos dilemma elé állítja a jogtudomány szereplőit: mi legyen a jogtudomány nyelve – a fenntartó és a hazai hivatásrendek nyelve, vagy az angol mint a tudományos eszmecsere lingua franca-ja? Írásomban több külföldi és hazai példát hozok a kutatóhelyek és egyetemek explicit és implicit nyelvstratégiáira, illetve igyekszem feltárni az intézményi nyelvstratégiákra ható legfontosabb tényezőket. = As a result of globalisation and digitalisation, more and more law research centres and universities are joining the international academic discourse. The internationalisation of academic research poses an important dilemma for legal scholars: what should be the language of jurisprudence - the language of the funding entity and the members of the domestic legal professions, or English, the lingua franca of academic discourse? In my paper, I provide several examples of express and implicit language strategies of research institutions and universities from abroad and Hungary, in an attempt to identify the most important factors influencing institutional language strategies.
