Abstract
This presentation of the professional concept of the Department of Religious Education and Pastoral Psychology explores the importance of mental images in the field of religious education and pastoral psychology. The article highlights the emerging field of neuroscience as a potential transformative force in pedagogy. This article introduces the practical theological model developed by Mark Branson and Juan Martinez. The model provides a framework for practical theologians to engage dynamically with spirituality and effectively address life’s challenges looking at them through a theological lens. In theological education, the practical theology model can inform curriculum design. It highlights the ongoing dialogue with God and the Christian community, distinguishing it from other pedagogical systems. The model encourages a holistic approach that aligns intellectual, emotional, and practical aspects in the learning process.
