Abstract

A kutatás tartalmi eredményei Robert Brandom amerikai filozófus műveinek és a hozzá kapcsolódó szakirodalomnak a földolgozása történt meg a kutatási munkatervben leírtaknak megfelelően. A legfontosabb szisztematikus (1) és történeti (2) eredmények: 1. Robert Brandom inferencializmusa ""normatív"" racionalizmus, mely jelentős hozzájárulás a fogalmak használatának és tartalmának elemzéséhez. Ugyanakkor nem képes számot adni arról, hogy a fogalmak miként töltődnek föl az inferenciális rendszeren kívülről, vagyis miként ""hat"" a ""világ"" fogalmaink használatára és inferenciális strukúrájára. 2. Robert Brandom inferencializmusát alkalmazza filozófiatörténeti szövegek értelmezéséhez is. Ez az ""erős"" olvasási mód azonban igen gyakran saját (Brandom) fogalmi kereteibe kényszeríti a szerzőket, és az értelmezés során nem annyira történeti ""rekonstrukciót"" és még csak nem is ""hermeneutikai"" olvasatot kapunk, hanem egy új fogalmi hálóba bevont, és terminológiailag átalakított ""kortárs"" rendszert. Formai eredmények: két könyv kézirata Brandomról (saját és más irásokkal), egy Brandom könyv forditása (kézirat), két konferencia Brandomról (egyiken maga is résztvett). A kötetek megjelentetésének előkészitése folyamatban van. | Summary of the content of the researches. I made researches on Robert Brandom's philosophy on the basis of his writings. I followed the plans as approved. The most important systematic (2) and historic (2) results: 1. Robert Brandom's inferentialism is ""normative"" rationalism, which is an important contribution to the analysis of the use and content of concepts. However, he cannot give an account, how concepts are filled with content from ""outside"" the inferential structure, that is, how the ""world"" makes impact on the use and on the inferential structure of concepts. 2. Robert Brandom applies his inferentialism in reading and interpreting the texts of the history of philosophy. With his ""strong"" reading he forces authors into his conceptual system. His interpretations are not historical reconstructions and not hermeneutic readins, but very often they are endig as a rather contemporary system. Formal results: two books (manuscripts with my own and other's papers), translation into Hungarian of a book of Brandom, two conferences about Brandom (one together with him).
