Abstract

A program célkitűzését maradéktalanul teljesítettük. Elkészültek és megjelentek a pályázatban vállalat kötetek: Francia diplomáciai iratok a Kárpát-medence történetéről II. Trianon, 1919-1920, 405 old., ISBN 963058011X, 2004, III. 1920-1921, 420 old., ISBN 963 05 83275, 2006. 345 francia forrást tartalmaznak. Az iratokat teljes terjedelemben, kronológiai sorrendben publikáltuk. Az összefüggések megértése érdekében számos kihagyott dokumentum tartalmát összefoglaltuk. A mai kor követelményeinek megfelelően a dokumentumokat a nemzetközi szabványoknak figyelembevételével digitálisan archiváltuk. A válogatásban megjelent forrásgyűjtemény a versailles-i Közép-Európa történetében lényeges szerepet játszó - magyar vonatkozású - eseményeket, a trianoni békeszerződést és a szerződést meghatározó nemzetközi tényezőket, a dunai államok egymás közötti viszonyát, az első világháborút követő magyar külpolitikát, valamint a Kisantant létrejöttének körülményeit és történetét mutatja be. Elénk tárja a Kárpát-medence - Versailles szellemében történő - teljes átrendezését, a győztesek rövidlátó politikáját, mellyel ki-ki a saját érdekeit szem előtt tartva megalkották a gazdasági és politikai szempontból egyaránt sebezhető Kárpát-medencét. A kötetek a Közép-Európa államaira vonatkozó francia források közzétételével számottevő hiányt pótolnak. Alapművek a térség legújabbkori történelmét kutató magyar és külföldi történészek, egyetemi oktatók számra. | We have delivered all the planned objectives of the project. The volumes undertaken in the competition tender have been prepared and published: Francia diplomáciai iratok a Kárpát-medence történetéről, Volume 2: Trianon, 1919-1920, 348 pp., ISBN 963058011X, 2004; Volume 3: 1920-1921, 420 pp., ISBN 963 05 83275, 2006. The books contain 405 French printed sources in Hungarian translation. We provided summaries of documents which were not reproduced from the original French language version. The collections of sources provide a documentary background to the events and processes that played a significant role in shaping the history of Central Europe as conceived at Versailles and which have a specific bearing on Hungary, such as the Treaty of Trianon, the international factors that influenced the contents of the Treaty, the relationship among the states situated in the Danubian Basin, the foreign policy of Hungary in the aftermath of the First World War, and the history and circumstances of the creation of the Little Entente. The documents reveal the details of the comprehensive restructuring of the Carpathian Basin in the spirit of Versailles, the emergence of a system which turned out to be vulnerable both economically and politically. The documents published in the volumes fill a large number of gaps in the relevant historiography. They constitute primary sources for Hungarian as well as international historians and other scholars studying the recent history of the region.
