Abstract

A Nyugat-Balkán számos politikai és gazdasági problémával néz továbbra is szembe. Az uniós perspektíva, a régió fizikai közelsége és jogi integrációja a belső piachoz, a makrogazdasági stabilitás és az alacsony munkaerőköltségek azonban ezen negatívumokat képesek ellensúlyozni, egyben pozitívan hathatnak a külföldi működőtőke-bevonzásra is. A magyar gazdasági jelenlét növelése, egyben a Nyugat-Balkán fejlődése érdekében célszerű az EU-integráció gyorsítása, a geopolitikai feszültség oldása, illetve a nemzetgazdasági reformok támogatása. = The Western Balkans continue to face several political and economic problems. The EU perspective, its physical proximity and legal integration to the common market, the macroeconomic stability, and low labour costs, however, can offset these negatives and boost foreign direct investments. To increase the Hungarian economic presence and, at the same time, develop the Western Balkans economically, it is expedient to accelerate EU integration, to reduce geopolitical tensions, and to support national economic reforms.
