Abstract

This study summarises the development of the “Gödöllő Career Guidance School” from its beginnings until today. The study is based on the documents and teaching materials available at the university. We describe both the milestones in the development of the school and the intellectual products created there, and present the “Course for Teachers Preparing for the Career Guidance.” On the other hand, a document analysis was carried out to study the impact of the “Gödöllő Career Guidance School” on the pedagogical programme of the surrounding schools. We had hypothesised that there would be differences between the programmes of the nearby schools and those of the other institutions, and this hypothesis was confirmed. This is evidence of the positive impact of the university's teaching staff and the activities of the students educated here.
