Abstract
The Second Vienna Resolution in 1940 gave back North Transylvania, which had been attached to Romania after World War I., to Hungary. The territorial growth was declared by the Hungarian diplomacy as a success. The essay presents how the Reformed Church of Kolozsvár related to the change of empire. As a consequence of the changes the discrimination, which had affected the church since 1920, was put to an end and the development of the Transylvanian Reformed Church could take a start. Relations to the Hungarian administration and the Romanian state had to be regulated so that ties with reformed believers living in areas of the District that still remained part of Romania could be maintained.
