Abstract

In the miscellanea collection, various forms of manuscripts appear from the entire territory of today’s Slovakia, but mainly from eastern Slovakia: possessor entries, handwritten table of contents before the colligatum, notes attached to the allegorical printed work, interpretation, separate pages inserted into the volume, handwritten works of other authors related to the content of the print written on blank pages at the end of the publication copy, occasional poems, poetry translations, funeral poems, tomb poems, building inscriptions, riddles, logographs, plays, speeches, medical prescriptions, theological and pedagogical dissertations entered at the end of the colligatum. The contents of the separate pages inserted into the volumes are often school material, but they also contain chronostichons and occasional poems. The content of the Jasov manuscript books found in Litterary Archive of Slovak National Library in Martin is similarly mixed: from prayers to speeches to poetic praise of the women of Košice and Oradea. The language of the occasional poems is Latin, Hungarian and Bernolák´s Slovak language. A large part of all this – with special regard to plays and poems – would deserve an independent research.
