Abstract

A tanulmányban a páli szótériológia néhány sarokpontjáról gondolkodunk. Mivel az „új teremtés” teológiai diskurzusa nem ölelhető fel egyetlen tanulmány keretében, ezért vizsgálódásunk vonalvezetője a Krisztus-tapasztalás misztériuma. Ehhez a miszticizmus, misztikus stb. szavakkal közelítünk – követve James Dunnt –, aki szerint e szavak alkalmasak rá, hogy egyszerűen utaljanak arra, hogy ami Krisztusban () megtapasztalható, végső soron továbbra is titokzatos, enigmatikus és misztikus. A tanulmány 2Kor 5,17 páli kijelentésének három elemét járja körül, és szűkszavúan körvonalazza Pál epochális gondolkodását, ezt követően a páli nyelvezet egyik központi motívumának, az () (Krisztusban) kifejezésnek a tudományos diskurzusban kirajzolódó útját tekinti át. Végül a hívőnek mint „új teremtésnek” az antitetikus létezéséről és a Krisztusban megmutatkozó isteni ajándék () inkongruenciájáról (összeférhetetlenség) gondolkodunk John M. G. Barclay ajándékperspektívája alapján. | This paper reflects on some of the key points of Pauline soteriology. Since the theological discourse of the “new creation” cannot be covered in a single study, our investigation is guided by the mystery of the Christ experience. In approaching this mystery, we employ terms such as mysticism and mystical – following James Dunn who suggests that these words are suitable for simply pointing to what is experienced “in Christ” () yet remains ultimately mysterious, enigmatic, and mystical. The paper explores three elements of Paul’s statement in 2 Corinthians 5:17 and outlines his epochal way of thinking. It then traces the scholarly reception and trajectory of one of the central motifs in Pauline language – namely, the expression “in Christ” (). Finally, the paper reflects on the antithetical existence of the believer as “new creation” and the incongruity (incompatibility) of the divine gift () revealed in Christ, based on John M. G. Barclay’s gift perspective.
